I am Becky Larson Bloom. As a Colorado author, retired nurse, and grandmother, I began writing at 68 and published my debut novel at 70. I write uplifting stories of quiet courage, second chances, and the power of starting over.

The Long Road to Page One

For decades, my life revolved around bedside nursing, raising children, and loving my grandchildren. Stories lived quietly in my journals and between shifts, waiting for their moment.

Readiness never just arrives. Guided by family and the encouragement of my late mother-in-law, I stopped waiting for permission. At 68, I sat down and began drafting my first book.

At 70, my debut novel New Beginnings arrived, followed by A Chance Meeting in 2025. Starting late proved that your creative life is never behind you.
